Barrabool Aboriginal people kill a Taungurung man (Winberry's brother?)

Date: 29 Apr 1840 – 29 Oct 1840
Place: Yarra Yarra
Event type: killing
Direct violence: Yes
Some months earlier, Aboriginal people of the Barrabool group killed one of the Goulburn tribe on the other side of the Yarra Yarra. (More details to be researched in W.Thomas's journals, where it appears Winberry's brother is the one who was killed). The location is not accurate as 'the other side of the Yarra Yarra' may indicate where the man was killed, or might be a confused way to indicate 'Barrabool' people (Wadawurrung) to the west.
