  • MUGGA MUGGA
    26 Mar 1835
“his name is MUGGA MUGGA, a man of extraordinary stature and muscular strength, and quite a Goliath in appearance; he and his tribe have taken the infant Colony under their protection, and have granted them five millions of acres, extending from the Morumbidgee to the Arno, and thence to the coast, bounded by Western Port and the River which falls into it to the westward, and have promised, that if the subordinate tribe of the Jugga's are troublesome, that they will drive them beyond the Morumbidgee, whence it is asserted they originally came.”
